Bradenton, FL. - On Friday, October 7, 2022, with much sadness and love the Murray family announces the passing of Daniel "Danny" Murray.
Danny was born January 24, 1935 in Saratoga Springs, the son of the late D. Harry and Marjorie McGowan Murray. He married his high school sweetheart Patty in September of 1958 and was married for 64 years. He attended St. Clements Grammar School and Saratoga Springs High School in Saratoga Springs, NY. Danny played basketball and baseball and was President of his high school class. He attended and graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ and was Vice President of his senior class in college. He served in the Army as a Second Lieutenant at Fort Lee Virginia for 2 years after college. Danny retired as Vice President of Sales and Marketing from the RT French Company in Rochester, NY after a 35-year career. After his retirement from the private sector, he took a job with his alma mater Seton Hall University as the Director of Alumni relations.
In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by two grandchildren Daniel and Julie Murray.
In addition to his wife Patty, Danny is survived by 4 sons and their spouses Kevin (Lisa Anne), Timothy (Lisa Brook), Daniel (Pam) and Michael (Lisa Chandler). He loved his 8 grandchildren; Lindsay, Caroline, Taylor, Parker, Ashley, Matthew, Molly and Charlie. In addition, he had 2 great grandchildren Jason and Jacob and a sister Mary Jane Hall of Lowville, NY.
The family would like to thank his caregivers Kim Zavala and Phil Polson for the support at the end of his life. They would also like to thank Dan's physician Dr. Albert Petrosino.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00pm Monday December 5, 2022 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518-584-5373).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Tuesday December 6, 2022 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs.
Burial will follow at the family plot in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave.
