Greenfield Center - Daniel Frank Rowe, 37, passed away unexpectedly Christmas morning 2017. Dan was the son of Marion Wine and stepson of Victor "POPS" Wine of Greenfield and Donald Rowe of Kentucky. Dan was born April 27, 1980 at Saratoga Hospital.
Dan graduated from Saratoga High School in 1999. He joined the Air Force following school. Dan worked as a mechanic until his graduation from Chauffeurs Training School where he obtained his class A license. He then drove trucks until February 2, 2014 at which time he sustained a traumatic brain injury. With his family by his side and sheer determination he overcame many obstacles. His mother was his biggest supporter always advocating for her son. Dan was able to beat the odds and move into his own place. He was very proud of this accomplishment.
He was an avid fisherman. Dan loved to fish anywhere, but, especially at the locks. He loved four-wheeling and spending time on Mahay Mountain. He loved going to church with Papa Gerald and spending time with his best friend Jared's family; Papa Gerald, Mama Rhonda, and Sister Gabby. Often times stealing Mama Rhonda's baked goods.
Dan loved cruising the back roads at night and hitting up the Taco Bell drive through with his ride or die partner Chula (Maira). He loved trips on his Harley with his favorite Uncle Dave. His most memorable trip was to Laconia Bike week and the Jӓger girls. He would tell anyone who listened "I rode there on a Sportster and rode back on a bagger." Dan often called his BFF Katrina "AKA Davis" all hours of the day and night just to chat. He liked to speak to his sister in Spanish, letting her know he was fluent in it.
Dan loved being a Dad more than anything in the world. He took great pride in telling people about his "Mini-Me's" Raeanna "Boogie," Drake "Monkey," and his stepdaughter Rhiley "Booba Dee."
In addition to his parents Dan is survived by his siblings; Josephina "Chepa," Shaun "Skinny," and his stepsister Megan, his favorite niece Maira "Chula" and nephew Rafael "Worm," his great nephew Abel Munger; his Aunts and Uncles; James and Elaine, Pauline and Walter, Debbie and Roger, Kevin and Karen, David and Aunt C, Reuben and Elizabeth, Robert and Christine and Wallace. Dan is also survived by his favorite cousin Aimee Allison and her husband, his best friend, Jared Mahay. Dan introduced them to each other, never expecting they would get married years later, numerous cousins, great cousins, great Aunts and Uncles and friends.
A special thank you to his landlady Katherine McAllister for her caring and compassion for Dan.
