Saratoga Springs, NY - Daniel Vincent Tagliento, Jr, 71, died peacefully at Wesley Health Care Center after a long illness on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

Born May 11, 1947 in Albany NY, he is the oldest child of the late Daniel Vincent and Jean Marie (Molasky) Tagliento, Sr.  Dan is a graduate of St. John's Academy (1965) and Hudson Valley Community College (1967).

Daniel worked for Skidmore College, the Saratoga Springs School District, and several local construction companies. He enjoyed collecting and working on vintage automobiles, his annual visits to the historic Saratoga Raceway, as well as monitoring and participating in local politics.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his daughter Michele A. Wink.

Daniel is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Mary Anne (Angley) Tagliento of Saratoga Springs, NY; three children, Michael D. Tagliento (Mira) of Commack NY; Melisa J. Blankenberg (Chris) of Williamson, NY and Marc C. Tagliento of Washington, DC.; three siblings,  Deborah H. Tagliento of East Greenbush, NY; James S. Tagliento (Debra) of Colonie, NY and Tina G. Gordon of Jax, FL; four grandchildren, Evan J. and Arianna G. Blankenberg; Ana M. and Katija M. Tagliento, his son-in-law, Timothy C. Wink of Oswego, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call from 9am to 11:45am Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow and be celebrated at 12:30pm at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. Burial will be private.
