Oneonta, NY - David W. Loeffler of Winney Hill Road, died Monday, January 30, 2023 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY. He was 76.

Born on April 25, 1946 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late, Herbert and Anna (Camarro) Loeffler. He served in the US Navy and was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone during the Vietnam War.

David worked alongside his father and brother, Robert, at the Loeffler Lumber Company in Greenfield, NY. He also enjoyed time as a concierge at the Gideon Putnam and excelled as a millwork specialist at Home Depot in his later years.

Above all, David was known for his love of family. He and wife Deborah enjoyed taking drives together through the countryside. This brought him peace. Relocating back to NY to be closer to his son and grandson brought him happiness. He was very close with his brothers, Robert and Herbert "Mickey" and his cousin Karen Stetkar whom he talked to daily.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah (Buckbee) Loeffler; son, David Loeffler of West Oneonta; two brothers, Herbert Loeffler of Greenfield Center and Robert Loeffler of Saratoga Springs; one grandchild, Grady; and nephews Adam, Alex, and Herb.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2-4pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 149 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY with a service following at 4pm.  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Interment will take place in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
