In 1970 he moved to Westchester County to work on the building and furnishing of the new Fine Arts and Humanities College at SUNY Purchase.
David and his wife, Mary Lou Champine were married on January 29, 1972 and they were "off on an adventure." He worked in college, community, regional, summer stock and dinner theaters. He and Mary Lou are loyal supporters of SPAC, HMT theater, WMHT, Café Lina and were regulars at Proctor's with their dearest friends, Steve and Gail Cotler.
