Obituary

Saratoga Springs - David G. Warner, lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

He will be remembered as a person who was always kind and gentle, lighthearted with a bright smile at all times. David loved the outdoors, especially camping and boating with family and friends. He had a special love for his guitars and all types of music. He spent most of his life involved in Special Olympics and earned numerous medals in swimming, bowling, track and cross-country skiing. David's athletic highlight was participating in the national special Olympic Games at the University of Notre Dame at South Bend.

David graduated from BOCES and worked his entire life for Saratoga Bridges in Ballston Spa and Wilton. He was a lifelong active communicant of Saint Clement's Church.

Survivors include his mother Eleanor Warner, his sisters Eileen Santoro (Tom) and Janet Ramos Konis (Geoff), his nephews Brian (Jacy), Tommy (Puja) and Kyle (Katie), nieces Sarah and Deanna, and his great-nieces and nephews Lily, Gabby, Blakely and Mason. David is predeceased by his father, John Warner.

A special thank you to Cathy Tabor his services coordinator, Dr. Robert Nielsen, and all the wonderful caring staff at his Finley Street home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow at 12pm at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of David's life from 1:30 – 3pm at the AIM Services 1 Finley Street residence following the committal service.

David made us all better people simply by being who he was. We would like to remember him by asking everyone to help support people with different abilities by contributing to AIM Services, 4227 Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or Saratoga Bridges, 16 Saratoga Bridges Blvd., Ballston Spa, NY 12020 in lieu of flowers.
