Deborah Ann (Carvalho) Vaughn, 71, of Gloversville, NY, passed away on June 16, 2024. She was born on December 28, 1952, in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late Fernando and Rose Mary (Colieptero) Carvalho.

Deborah had a fulfilling career and worked at Empire State College for numerous years as a clerk and also for her brother Manuel. She was dedicated to her work and made many lasting contributions.

She cherished her family dearly. Deborah is survived by her two brothers, Fernando Carvalho, Jr. of Saratoga Springs, and Manuel Carvalho of Bedford, NH. She is also survived by her son, Zeke Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Melissa; and her two grandchildren, Elliot Vaughn and Lily Vaughn of Newcomb, NY. Deborah will be remembered by her nieces and nephews, Theresa Vamvalis, Tammy Muller, Caitlin deDufour, Christopher Carvalho, Jenna, and Keith Carvalho.

Deborah was known for her vibrant personality and interests. She loved talking about her grandchildren, her cats, and her garden. Walking in downtown Saratoga was one of her favorite pastimes, as well as soaking up the sun while listening to music and enjoying a cup of coffee. She was quick to share her opinions but always open to listening to others.

Private services will be held at St. Peters Cemetery to honor and remember Deborah's life.

Deborah will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
