Saratoga Springs, NY - Delia G. Stortz passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 94. Delia was born on Sept. 14, 1914 in San Diego, CA, daughter of the late David W. and Ragnhild D. Ericson Gibbs She lived for many years at Embury Apartments in Saratoga Springs and most recently resided at Wesley Health Care Center. Delia retired from NYS Taxation & Finance. Her greatest joy was nurturing and loving her children and grandchildren and she will be dearly missed by all. Delia is predeceased by her former husband, Vernon F. Stortz; her twin sister Marjorie Moller; her sister Theresa Brooks and her brother Father David Gibbs. Survivors include her loving children, David (Saundra) Stortz of Plattsburgh, NY, Lawrence (Terrayne) Stortz of Gansvoort and Marjorie (Jerry) Ryan of Saratoga Springs; nephew Robert Moller (Nancy) of Cathedral City, CA; grandchildren Kimberly Priester, Jefferey Stortz, Meghan Kyne, Kristin Overholt, Leslie Mills, Erin Rupnick, Adrienne Stortz, Andrew Stortz and step-grandmother to Kevin Montanaro and Larisa Chipman. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
