Fort Edward, NY - Delores W. McCabe, age 78, passed away gently on May 21, 2014 at Mary's Haven in Saratoga Springs, NY. She was born January 30, 1936 in Chinook, Montana to the late Lyman Croft and Gertrude (Hall) Croft Madsen. On July 4, 1954, she married her husband, Allen McCabe in Great Falls, MT. Upon moving to New York, Delores was co-owner and operator of McCabe's Grocery and Deli in Schenectady, NY. After retirement, she resided on Hunt Lake for many years prior to moving to Ft. Edward. Delores was very energetic and always had a smile and kind words for everyone she met. More than anything she loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to spend her time gardening, cooking and reading. In addition to her parents, Delores was predeceased by one sister, Laura Johnson and five brothers, Archie Croft, Gaylord Croft, William Madsen, Bill Madsen and Rex Madsen. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Allen McCabe of Fort Edward; one daughter, Catherine McCabe (Rick Cobello) of Greenfield, NY; two sons, Michael McCabe (Linda) of Amsterdam, NY and Daniel (Diane) of Williamstown, NJ; four grandchildren, Devin Vernon, Sarah Korobovsky, Kayla and Ricky McCabe; one great-grandson, Aleksei Korobovsky; two sisters, Shirley Gardipee of Shelby, MT and Rita Cook of Columbus, OH; three brothers, John Croft and Wayne Croft of Great Falls, MT and Warren Croft of Merritt Island, FL. Private graveside services will be conducted at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road. In lieu of flowers, donations made in her name to Mary's Haven, 35 New Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 will be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
