Diane  Beatrice Marry

March 25, 1933 - December 9, 2024

Saratoga Springs, NY - Diane Beatrice Marry (Fay) passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024, on the celebration day of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. A lifelong resident of NYS, Diane enjoyed life to the fullest. She was 91 years young.

Diane was the devoted wife of the late Donald (Don) P. Marry, for 64 years. Born in the Bronx on March 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Fay. After graduating high school, Diane met the love of her life, Don, and they married in 1954. Together, they raised their family in the Bronx and then Washington Heights in Manhattan before eventually moving permanently, to Saratoga Springs, to enjoy their later years.

The loving couple always made time for travel, visiting many countries in Europe over the years. In addition, their family home in Gansevoort, NY, grew to become the gathering place for many of their family and friends over the years. They also enjoyed being snowbirds for many years in Boca Raton, Florida.

Diane was a woman of faith. She read the scripture daily and prayed for others in need. Her deep spiritual beliefs were embedded into her daily life. Diane's convictions to her faith gave her the ability to face adversity with hope. Throughout Diane's lifetime, she had worshipped at a variety of parishes including St. Therese Chapel in Gansevoort, St. Joseph in Greenfield, NY and St. Clement's, Saratoga Springs, as well as parishes in south Florida.

Diane was a loving mother to her three sons, Donald, Stephen and Mark. She was a loving grandmother to Sean Marry, Ryan Marry (Bauer), Matthew Marry and Michael Marry and nine great grandchildren. Diane is survived by her sister Lorraine (Fay) Villoverde and spouse Murray Villoverde; her son, Mark Marry; daughters-in-law Bernadette Marry, Margaret (Hogan) Marr; and several nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

Diane was a friend to all that knew her. She could strike up a conversation in a moment's notice. Besides scripture and travelling, Diane had a great love for movies, theatrical performances and songs of her time. She enjoyed the arts and dancing until the music stopped. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

The family is extremely grateful to the entire staff at The Home of the Good Shepherd in Saratoga Springs for their loving care of Diane.
