Saratoga Springs, NY - Diane Cora Rosenthal, age 76, was born on September 22, 1941 in Rochester, NY and died on August 1, 2018 in Saratoga Springs, NY in a fatal traffic accident. Diane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim, and her parents, Fred and Cora Diehl. She is survived by her children, David and Janet Rosenthal of Dallas, Texas, and Eric and Kimberly Rosenthal of Hillsborough, New Jersey and her precious granddaughter, Zeia (age 7). She also leaves behind her loving sister, Nolee Feiock of Rochester, NY, brothers Dennis Diehl of Portland, Oregon and Fred Diehl of Rochester, NY, sister-in-law Karen Diehl of Columbia, SC, sister-in-law Mary Fournier of Morehead City, NC, and her caring nieces and nephews.
Diane was a devoted Christian and spent her life following that example. She served as a pastor's wife until Jim's death in 2006 and as a nurse at Saratoga Hospital in a job she dearly loved. She was deeply committed to her patients and communicated with many of them well past their initial visits. She selflessly gave her time and energy to her family, friends, or anyone in need. Diane would want everyone who reads this to know this about her hope: "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere." Psalm 84:10. Now she is in her true home with her beloved Jim.
A memorial service will be held to honor Diane's life on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. It will take place at William J. Burke & Sons; 628 North Broadway; Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Following the service, friends and family are welcome to gather at Diane's home at 33 Whitney Road.
In lieu of flowers, loved ones are encouraged to donate to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation. Donations tagged as Memorial Gifts can include a written tribute to Diane.
