Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY - Donald T. DiBiase, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (June 14, 2023) at Saratoga Hospital.

Born in Schenectady, NY in 1934, he was a son of the late Joseph and Maria DiBiase. After graduating from Nott Terrace High School in 1952, he served in the US Army. He graduated from Bryant College with a BS degree in Business and Suffolk University, where he earned his MBA and also taught accounting. He had a long career with IBM and retired after 33 years as Director of Corporal Personnel and Administration in Armonk, NY

Don served on the Board of Directors for the Westchester County American Red Cross in White Plains, NY. After retiring to Saratoga Springs, he was an active member of St. Clement's Church and sang in both the weekly and Resurrection choirs for many years and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. An avid reader who always enjoyed playing golf, he was a "people person" with many friends and a smile for everyone.

A Third Degree and honorary life member of Saratoga Council 246 Knights of Columbus and Saratoga Assembly 745 Fourth Degree Assembly, he was an active volunteer, former officer and served in the Color Corps for many years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia Duncan DiBiase; five children, Daniel (Kathleen), Lisa, Christopher, Tad and Matt (Lori Ann); eight grandchildren, AJ, Rob, Emily (Aaron) Ricci, Michael, Joanna, Colleen, Daniel and Sophie; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Adam Ricci; one sister-in-law, Carol Romano DiBiase, one daughter-in-law, Lori Viksna DiBiase and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Joseph; two sisters, Philomena Capobianco and Julia Czarkowski and a daughter-in-law, Jenny Kletzin DiBiase.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday (June 22) in St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be live streamed at stclementschurch.com.

Burial with military honors will follow at 12noon at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. There will be no calling hours.

Members of the Knights of Columbus are requested to gather in front of St. Clement's Church and will be seated together for Don's funeral liturgy.

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Clement's Church or a charity of one's choice.
