Saratoga Springs, NY - Donald Edward Godette passed away on May 6, 2013 at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach, FL. He was 80. Born on Aug. 26, 1933 in Ballston Spa, NY, a son of the late Charles and Kathryn (Underwood) Godette, he was a 1951 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. A former long-time resident of 14 Clark Street, he served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and graduated from the University of Miami in 1959. A member of Saratoga-Wilton B.P.O. Elks Lodge 161 since 1963, "Uncle Don" had a passion for horses and the race track. He was blessed to have recently watched the Kentucky Derby before his passing. Survivors include a brother, Robert W. Godette and three nieces, Charlotte, Rebecca and Adriana. A celebration of life in honor of Don was held May 14, 2013 in Florida and a sincere thank you to the many friends who supported him throughout the years.
