Oak Grove, KY - Donald Franklin Stoneback, 91, of Bell Station Road, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Covington's Convalescent Center of natural causes. A native of Philadelphia, PA, he was born Sept. 23, 1919, the son of the late Earl Elmer and Stella Miller Stoneback. He was a retired US Air Force M/SGT who served as a medic in the Army Air Corp. and Air Force. He was a World War Two and Vietnam veteran, and attended Olivet Baptist Church in Herndon, KY. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Davida Maricle Stoneback and a daughter, Patricia Stoneback. Survivors include his son, Michael Stoneback of Saratoga Springs; one daughter, Cindy Hester of Christian County, KY and a sister, Jane Stoneback of Oxford, NJ. Visitation was held Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 3-7 pm at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home. The body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington.
