Doris F. Aubry
September 24, 1927 - May 21, 2024
Wilton, NY- Doris F. Aubry, 96, passed away peacefully into God's arms with her loving daughter by her side on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Doris was born on September 24, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York.
Doris spent many years as a busy "domestic engineer" in Ossining, NY raising her children. In addition to constantly shuffling her four children to sporting events and other various activities, she was known as a professional volunteer. While her children were in school she was often supporting the PTA, fundraising, and working in the local hospital auxiliary. In later years after moving to Clinton, NJ, she and her husband Paul were involved with the Meals on Wheels program delivering meals to many rural areas, always using her special basket for the delivery. Doris dedicated significant time to visiting the "old people" at the local nursing home with her therapy dog, Maggie.
Doris loved daytime soap operas, water aerobics, Saturday afternoon mass, and chocolate milkshakes. Most precious to her was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris is now reunited with her husband of 72 years, Paul. She will also once again be with her parents as well as her sisters, Irene and Gertrude.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Paul Aubry (Clarissa), Eileen Minder (Robert), Peter Aubry (Michelle), Timothy Aubry; grandchildren Justin Minder (Sandra), Lindsey Minder, Karrah Aubry (Brian), Ian Aubry (Katie); and four great-grandchildren, Linnea, Colvin, Wren, and Coen, as well as many relatives and friends.
