Saratoga Springs - Doris May Perry passed away peacefully, Friday, August 28, 2009 at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness. She was 84. Born October 25, 1924 in Fort Miller, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Ruth Provost Fuller. She worked at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady and was a receptionist for over 20 years at The Grand Union Motel on Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Doris and her late husband Chauncey F. Perry, were married for 53 years, together they owned and operated Perry's Taxi for 23 years. Doris enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to various casinos and watching her favorite soap opera General Hospital. She was at her best when she was in her kitchen cooking one of her special "dishes" and making sure her family was taken care of as only she could do and just being there when a family member needed to talk. She was a generous and loving mother. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Elliott. A loving mother and grandmother, Doris is survived by her children, Greer Westcott, Donna Biss and her husband Michael, Thomas Perry, Tammy Noonan and her husband Jerry, one brother, Glen M. Fuller, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway(584-5373). A funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Gerald B.H.
