Greenfield Center, NY - Dorothy Salt Ellis, 94, formerly of Cincinnati, died peacefully on August 1, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1918 to the late Dwight and Jessie Shaw Salt. After graduating from Withrow High School, Dottie worked as a bookkeeper for the Cedar Hill Dairy and later, P & G. She married the love of her life, Walter Ellis in 1948. She enjoyed her role as a devoted wife, loving mother, sounding board for the executive engineer/inventor/entrepreneur and peacemaker for all. In addition to her parents, Dottie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Walter Ellis; three brothers, Dwight, Edward and Donald and her grandson, David Earle Ellis. Dottie is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Michael) Moroski; her son, Byron (Paula) Ellis; two granddaughters, Amanda (AJ) Sonnier of Lafayette, LA and Betsy (Tim) Bowers of Houston, TX and two great-grandchildren, Jade and David Bowers. A private family service was held in Houston. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373), Saratoga Springs, NY.
