Dorothy was born March 28, 1910 in Bloomsburg, PA to Ira Hutchings and Stella Maude Van Dine Hutchings.

Dorothy was a homemaker and a 22-year employee of Hesss Department Store where she served as executive secretary to CEOs Max Hess and Phillip Berman.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fortune Snyder; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Snyder (Buonefet) and two brothers, Charles Edward and William Paul Hutchings.

She is survived by her son, William Fortune Snyder (Patricia Di Benedetto) of Saratoga Springs, her granddaughter Patricia Buonefet Duch of Allentown, PA; her brother Robert J. Hutchings (Phyllis) of Brienigsville, PA and a sister, Helen Payne of Dexter, MI. Also grandsons George (Shannon Johnson), William (Mary Jane Hansen) and Richard (Denise Grey) Snyder of Saratoga Springs, great grandsons Christian J. and Nikko M. Duch of Allentown, Bennett Greyson Snyder and great granddaughter Giovanna Marie Snyder of Saratoga Springs as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30am on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Church of Mediator, 1620 West Turner Street, Allentown, PA Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park following the service.
