Saratoga Springs, NY Dorothy A. Jacobs of Saratoga Street passed away on Tuesday (Mar. 30, 2010) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 93. She was born on September 8, 1916 in Thomas WV, daughter of the late Philip and Sarah Rebecca (Feinberg) Schilansky. Dorothy grew up one of nine children in Thomas, WV. Later she moved to Washington, PA where she raised her children and attended Beth Israel Synagogue. She was a devoted wife to Simon Jacobs, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker always putting family first. A bright and well read woman, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Mrs. Jacobs lived in Boynton Beach, FL before moving to Saratoga Springs for the past 11 years with her daughter Marsha and son-in-law Robert, who cared for her. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Simon Jacobs who passed away in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Marsha, and husband Robert L. Katzman of Saratoga Springs, Lesley and husband Charles Roessing of Buford, SC, her grandchildren, Matthew Roessing and wife Julia Wilson, Megan Roessing, Karen and husband Lyle Margolis, Michael Katzman and wife Hillary Johnson. Great grandchildren Emma, Andrew, Madelyn Margolis and Samuel Katzman. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Petey. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Shaara Tfille Jewish Community Center, 84 Weibel Ave., Saratoga Springs. Burial will be in the Eternal Light Memorial Garden, Boynton Beach, FL Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
