Saratoga Springs, NY - Dorothy E. (Taylor) Quinn, a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 80. Born April 27, 1932 in Green Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Mildred Taylor. Dorothy grew up in Round Lake and graduated from Holy Names Academy in Albany. She worked many years for Dr. Roohan's dental practice on Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Her greatest joy was taking care of her husband and son at their home on Pleasant Drive. Dorothy loved walks in the Spa State Park, bike riding and crafts of all kinds. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband James T. Quinn, Jr. and her siblings, Robert J. Taylor, William R. Taylor, Jr., Jean Bormann and Irma Shafts. Dorothy is survived by her son, Thomas J. Quinn of Glenville. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11am Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Wednesday at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. Donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
