Saratoga Springs, NY - Earl (Butch) Hoosier, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12 ^, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was 64.

After graduating from Albany High, Butch enlisted in the US Navy where he served for 4 years until his honorable discharge in 1979. He married the love of his life, Marianne Casale of Herkimer in 1984 and they moved to Saratoga Springs. In 1991, they welcomed their son Tyler to the world, his "greatest accomplishment."

Butch was a devoted and loving dad who actively engaged in Tyler's activities and athletic career. He enjoyed volunteering at the West Side Little League and stirring things up with Danny as they covered the District Tournaments. Butch looked forward to annual trips to Myrtle Beach with his beloved golf group and morning coffee talks with "Pastor Joel".

Butch recently retired from Saratoga Hospital after 23 years employed as the Stationary Engineer.

He was pre-deceased by his father, Earl Sr., his sister, Rosie and his mother-in-law, Frances Casale.

Survivors include his wife Marianne of 37 years; their son Tyler and his wife Brittany and grand dog Cruz. Butch is also survived by his brother, Mark Hoosier and his wife Marjorie, his sister, Carolyn McIntyre, father-in-law Joe Casale, sister-in-law, Sue and brothers-in-law Joe and Tommy and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 18, 2022 from 11am-12:45pm at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373).  A funeral home service follow at 12:45pm.

Burial with military honors will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road at 2pm.
