Saratoga Springs, NY - Edmund F. Mrak, Sr., 83, died peacefully at home Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Edmund was born April 15, 1929 to the late Edmund and Gail Mrak. A veteran of the Korean War, he traveled throughout Europe with the US Army. He worked for Allegheny-Ludlum Steel and Mohawk Brush in Albany and retired as an electrician with Stilsing Electric in Rensselaer, NY. In later years he stayed busy working, sailing, and doing home repair and carpentry projects for himself and his family. He took up cooking and always baked his own bread. Ed treasured his friends at Prestwick Chase in Saratoga. Survivors include his former wife, Renate Mrak and their 3 children and spouses, Leslie and David McLoughlin, Darren and Dee Mrak and Edmund Mrak Jr, and Linda Ziolo; his grandchildren, Kari McLoughlin, Doug McLoughlin and his wife Ashlee, and Colden Mrak.
