Greenfield Center - Edward I. Damoretcki, of Bump Hill Road, died October 9, 2009. He was 83. Born June 6, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Peter and Agnes Fabrinski Damoretcki. Edward was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked for twenty-six years as a plumber/pipefitter for the Atlantic Cement Company in Ravena, NY. Edward enjoyed working on cars and trucks. He had a passion for cutting down trees, getting on his bulldozer and grading his land. Edward loved spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Anne J. Miklosovich Damoretcki, his brother-in-law Michael Archer and sister-in-law Josephine Pratt. He is survived by a daughter, Joanne Dugan and her husband Timothy of Ballston Spa; a son, George Damoretcki and his fiance Nancy Lashway of Saratoga Springs; his granddaughters, Jessica Harblin and her husband Christopher of Ballston Spa, Jennifer Bradley and her husband Ian of Greenfield; his grandsons, Scott Dugan of Ballston Spa, Christopher Damoretcki and his wife Dana of Phoenixville, PA; five great-grandchildren, Shelby, Colby and Camden Harblin of Ballston Spa, Bella and Gracelin Bradley of Greenfield; a niece, Joanne Neri, of Greenfield Center; a nephew, Wayne Pratt and his wife Rori of Boca Raton, Florida and sister-in-law, Rose Foote of Greenfield. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue.
