Saratoga Springs - Edwin B. Augustin passed away on the morning of Monday, August 10, 2015, at Wesley Health Care Center. He is the son of the late William and Clementine (Kline) Augustin. Edwin was a very accomplished man. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged on April 3, 1946. Following his time in the military Edwin spent many years preparing for his administrative career in health care. He received a BS in education from Temple University, MA in education from New York University, and masters of public health from the University of Pittsburgh. From there his career included many position and responsibilities ranging from multiple hospital administrator positions to hospital evaluator for the NYS Department of Health. An avid skier, Edwin also spent many years as part of the Willard Mountain and National Ski Patrols. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30am on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Burial will take place at Paradox Cemetery, Schroon Lake, NY.
