Saratoga Springs, NY - Eleanor Pallotta became one of God's Angels on Wednesday, July 16,2008. Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 14,1927, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Anna (Viscusi) Bottisti. Eleanor graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam and worked for many years in the glove manufacturing businesses in that area. Eleanor will be remembered for her sweet smile and kindness to others and always believed in and cared about people and lived by the motto,"accept people for who they are". She enjoyed playing cards and trips to Atlantic City and was a member of both the Dominick Smaldone Post 35 ITAM Ladies Auxiliary and Principessa Elena Womens Society. In addition to her parents, Eleanor is predeceased by her brothers, Albert, Herman and Nicholas. Survivors include her devoted husband of 62 years, Joseph Pallotta; her beloved daughter, Sharon (Harold) Hotmer of Saratoga Springs; her grandchildren, Paul Syzdek of Rochester, Shannon (Ordeana) Bell and Lawrence Hotmer of Ballston Spa and Julia (Timothy) Murphy and was the proud "Gramma Boo-Boo" of a great grandchild, Zachary Aaran Bell. She is also survived by her brother, Dominick (Kathy) Bottisti; sister-in-laws Pam Bottisti, Angelina DePasquale, Susan (Julius) Tofinchio; brother-in-laws Nicholas (Grethen) Pallotta, Anthony (Karen) Pallotta and Holly Hudson and Connie Plummer, who were part of her extended family which she considered her own. As Eleanor requested, there will be no viewing hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am Thursday (July 24, 2008) at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs.
