Saratoga Springs, NY – Elizabeth A. "Betty" Stone, beloved mother, infamously known by family and friends as "Nanny", died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital at the age of 84.

Born May 11, 1934 in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta Maggio Giardino.  Betty was a house leader for Wilton Developmental Services (OPWDD) in Corinth.

In addition to her parents, Betty was reunited with her daughter Elizabeth Baldwin and eight siblings.

Betty is survived by her four loving children, Susan Yakush and her husband Joe, Kathy Mascio and her husband Nick, Gale Gosnell and her husband Todd, Dale Stone and his wife Lee-Ann; eleven grandchildren, Erin Adams and her husband Steven, Erica Hall and her husband Matt, Brittany and Nicholas Mascio, Andrew Gosnell, James and Aleea Stone, Susan Wood and her husband Jason, John Baldwin and his wife Rebecca, Taylor and Travis Northrup; five great-grandchildren, Amelia and Charlie Adams, Hunter Hall, Noah Baldwin and Wyatt Wood; one sister, Joan Stocker and one brother, Anthony Giardino.

Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 6pm Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs. A funeral service will follow at 6pm.

Burial will be private.
