Rexford, NY - Elizabeth Isabelle (Main) Chandler of Rexford, NY, formerly of Framingham Center and Wayland, MA, passed away on February 23, 2014. She was 94. Born on February 14, 1920 in Norwich, CT, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Oscar and Nettie Karoli Main, she was a graduate of Connecticut College, class of 1941, and New London (CT) Business College in 1942. She worked at Wellesley College for several years, retiring in 1982 as Associate Director of Admission. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, A. Minot Chandler, Jr. and a sister, Barbara Noyes of Groton Long Point, CT. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M. (William) Sutton of Saratoga Springs, New York and Barbara K. Chandler of Boston. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 28, 2014 in the Coburg Village Chapel, Coburg Village Way, Rexford, NY 12148. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in her name to Double H Ranch which provides programs for children and families dealing with life-threatening illnesses, 97 Hidden Valley Rd., Lake Luzerne, NY, 12846, or the charity of their choice.
