Saratoga Springs, NY - Ella B. Crandall, of Pearl Street, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at Maplewood Manor. She was 79. Born on June 16, 1930 in Glens Falls, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Bertha Doner Harrington. Ella worked for 25 years as a nurse's aide at Saratoga Hospital. She loved to crochet, embroider and read. Ella loved to spend time sitting on the benches on Broadway and her front porch watching people as they would walk by. In addition to her parents, Ella was predeceased by one sister, Esther Kennedy; four brothers, Peter Van Epps, Alson, Lawrence and Thomas Harrington. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harold Crandall of Saratoga Springs; one daughter, Kathleen Carmon and her husband Chris, Sr. of Pflugerville, TX; three grandchildren, Chris Carmon Jr. of Hong Kong, Marie and Kelley Carmon of Pflugerville, TX; one great granddaughter, Meranda Franklin of Pflugerville, TX; three brothers, John Harrington and his wife Margaret, Robert and Kenny Harrington and one sister, Joan Allen and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8pm Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Friday at the funeral home.
