Elsie E. Stoltz, 87, of Saratoga Springs, NY passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Wesley Nursing Home.

Born on September 22, 1938 in Binghamton, NY to her parents Jacob George and Karoline (Lena) Schmidt (Schuster)

Elsie married Carl F. Stoltz Jr. in 1961 and had two children, Michael and Laurie and was a homemaker until she went back to school and earned her Nursing degree and worked at Wesley Nursing Home for 12 years which she really enjoyed.

Elsie is preceded by her husband Carl who passed away in 1995. She is also preceded by her two sisters Erma zuHone (Schmidt) and Gertrude zuHone (Schmidt) and two brothers George Schmidt and Richard Schmidt

Elsie is survived by her daughter Laurie West (Stoltz) and her husband Kenneth West, her son Michael Stoltz and his wife Patricia Stoltz (Ferguson); two sisters-in-law, Barbara Marx (Stoltz) and her husband Peter Marx, Barbara Staigar (Benson); and a brother-in-law Robert Stoltz.

Grandchildren are Rachel Martindale (West) husband Chase Martindale, Andrew Stoltz, Nicholas Stoltz wife Adriana Stoltz (Fisher) and Samuel Stoltz; great Grandchildren Graysen Martindale and Josie Martindale; and several cousins, nieces and nephews

I would also like to mention her Great Niece Mari Kate McMahon who was her pen pal for years. They exchanged many holiday cards and she loved every one of them. Thank you Mari Kate.

I, Laurie West, would like to thank, and I know mom would too, the staff at Wesley Nursing Home, 3 Springs, for all the care she received. They treated her with great care and compassion.

At Elsie's request there will be no service. She will be interred in the Spring at Maplewood Cemetery Saratoga Springs, NY.
