Eric Arthur Olson, 84, of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 at the Wesley Nursing Home in Saratoga Springs, NY.

He was born on August 12, 1942 in Scotia, NY to Arthur and Alice Olson. After graduating Scotia Glenville Highschool, Eric worked at his father’s sign shop, Olson Signs, held various construction roles, and ultimately held a very successful career with Burns and Roe, a prominent engineering firm, where he helped lead the installation of state-of-the-art, computerized, weather sensing equipment at airports all over the country.

In 1991, Eric married Denise Olson, and together they shared 27 wonderful years together, until her passing in 2019.

Eric was known for his gregarious and outgoing personality, generous spirit, sense of humor, and particularly loved his dogs, fun cars, boats, and time spent with friends and family at the family camp on the Hudson River.

Eric is survived by his brother Robert (Karen), Richard (Kelly), and his sister, Darlene (Bill) Newey, as well as all of his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4pm-6pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Busing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-5373). A funeral home memorial service will be celebrated at 6pm.
