Saratoga Springs, NY - Erin Clare Fay, of Meditation Way, passed away Saturday (Feb. 28, 2009) at Albany Medical Center. She was 30. Born on Jan. 17, 1979 in Syracuse, NY, she is the daughter of Vincent K. and Frances C. (Porter) Fay. She is a 1997 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and participated on both the gymnastic and diving teams, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Communications in 2001. Erin had worked at Brindisi's Restaurant on Broadway for the past several years. In addition to her parents of Saratoga Springs, survivors include her brothers and sisters, Devin Fay of Pittsburgh, Eric, Morgan and Kristen; her paternal grandparents, Vincent C. and Lillian ("Honey") Fay and her paternal great-grandmother, Lillian Mary Garhartt, all of Saratoga Springs; her maternal grandmother, Martha L. Porter of Clarence, NY; many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as many close, caring and loving friends. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday in Our Lady's Chapel in the parish center of St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday in St. Clement's Church by Father Paul Borowski, pastor. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. The family has requested that memorials may be made to the "Memorial of Erin Fay" Fund at Trustco Bank, c/o Trish Santiago, Northern Pines Office, 649 Route 9, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 and that flowers be omitted.
