Saratoga Springs, NY - Ernest T. Hord passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 66. Born on August 29, 1942 in West Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Jesse and Winona Munroe Hord. For many years, Ernest was superintendant for Beltrone Construction out of Albany and North East Masonry out of Saratoga Springs. He then became self-employed and eventually was owner/operator of E. Hord Associates overseeing projects such as One Caroline, The Brew Pub and the addition to Sperry's. He enjoyed traveling whenever possible and for many years loved flying his airplane Juliet. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. Ernest was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Survivors include his son Russell (Charlene) Hord of Saratoga Springs; two sisters, Estelle Newberry of Long Island and JoAnna (Howard) Denison of Johnson City, TN and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at 1pm Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, corner of Rt. 50 and Edie Rd., Saratoga Springs.
