Mechanicville, NY - Esther E. Martone passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa. She was 94. Born August 30, 1920 in Stillwater, NY, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Jennie Hammond Limberg. A talented seamstress, Esther worked at the Korell Company, Buchdahl's and The Vogue Store, all in Mechanicville. She also worked as a New York State Republican Party poll registrar. Esther was an active member of the Home Bureau of Mechanicville for many years. She had a wonderful talent making beautiful crafts which were given to many of her family and friends to enjoy and to be passed on to further generations. Esther was very well known for her delicious trays of Italian cookies which she generously gave to family and friends for special occasions. Her beautiful afghans will be enjoyed and cherished by many. Esther loved to travel to New England to visit her son Larry and his family. She also enjoyed many family cookouts and gatherings at JR's house in Melrose. Esther loved her family, especially caring for her beloved daughter Daria. In addition to her parents, Esther was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Louicka "Gus" A. Martone,; four brothers, Roy Limberg, Fred Myott, Jack Myott and Richard Myott and one sister, Shirley Gibbs, all of Poestenkill as well as many brothers and sisters-in-laws of Mechanicville. Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Martone and his wife Elaine of Pelham, NH, Ludwig "JR" Martone and his wife Sue Ann of Mechanicville; one daughter, Daria Martone of Ballston Spa; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours and funeral services were private. Burial was in the family plot at St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville. Arrangements were under the direction of the William J.
