Wilton, NY - Ethelreda Mary Segrave (nee Grimsdell) passed away Monday, February 8, 2010 at the age of 98. Born on February 28, 1911 in Crouch End, England, she was the youngest of two sisters (Elsa and Connie) and one brother (William). Wed to John William Segrave in 1938, she was married for over 50 years. She was active in community life, including the Womens Institute, Meals on Wheels, her local church, and the Long Ashton Golf Club, where she was a life member. She moved to America in 2003 to live with her son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Doris and 3 grandchildren, Hannah, Sam and Grace. An avid golf and tennis player all her life, she also enjoyed bridge, crossword puzzles and yard sales. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, 45 Washington Street, Saratoga Springs. A luncheon and time of sharing will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
