Saratoga Springs, NY- Eva Lynn MacFarland Allen, retired resident of Saratoga Springs passed away after a long illness on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the age of 80.

Lynn was born to the late Evelyn Flannery MacFarland and F. Ralph MacFarland (Mac) on October 7, 1941. She grew up in Bronxville, NY and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Lynn went on to Windham College in Putney, VT where she met her college sweetheart Arthur E. Allen, Jr (Art); Lynn and Art married in June of 1960 and remained so for 56 years until Art's passing. Lynn was a volunteer for the Daughters of the American Revolution and a docent at the Keeler Tavern for many years while they lived in Ridgefield, CT.

Lynn was an avid reader and member of the Saratoga Springs library book club, she volunteered with Catholic Charities and was a parishioner and volunteer at Church of St. Peter's in Saratoga Springs, NY. Lynn had a passion for gardening and all things flowers. Lynn was survived by her children Ethan Allen of Saratoga Springs, Kelli Allen Baker (Michael) of Elk Grove, CA and ("T") Arthur Eugene Allen III (Rosa)of El Paso, TX; as well as her grandchildren, Olivia Allen, Ryan Baker, Sean Baker and Michaela Allen. In addition to her parents, Lynn was predeceased by her second son, Michael MacFarland Allen.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:30-11am, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am by Father Larry Rice, CSP and burial will follow in the family plot at Bolton Rural Cemetery, Bolton, NY.  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
