Saratoga Springs, NY - Evelyn G. Arpey passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Wesley Health Care Center after a long illness. She was 83. Evelyn was born in Glens Falls, moving to Saratoga Springs as a young girl with her parents George and Mary Abdalla, and her sister Amelia Abdalla Palumbo, who predeceased her. She married her high school sweetheart William (Bill) Arpey, Jr in 1951 and they were happily married nearly 60 years until his death in 2011. Evelyn worked for many years at Skidmore College as an administrative assistant in the Admissions Office. She devoted her life to her husband and children and was a constant source of encouragement and strength for all of them. She had a gentle, warm, and compassionate manner with all those around her. Evelyn is survived by a large extended family, including her loving children Kathleen Delcambre (Bill Lugaro), John W. Arpey (Gerri), William G. Arpey (Patti), Christopher J. Arpey (Diana), Michael W. Arpey (Stacie), eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, August 14, 2015 by Rev.
