Saratoga Springs, NY - Evelyn T. King, 92, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2014. She was born on August 11, 1921, to the late Benjamen and Anna Gosnell. In 1949 she married the late Edward G. King. Evelyn was a graduate of Port Washington High School on Long Island, NY. She retired in 1978 after a 40-year career as an executive at the New York Telephone Company. In addition to her husband, Evelyn is predeceased by her sister, Mary Lacey, and her son-in-law, David Horinka. Survivors include; her daughter, Mara King Horinka of Saratoga Springs; her niece Sandra Wells (Robert) of Meridan, CT; her nephew Pat Lacey (Carole) and his children; a great-nephew, Bobby Wells; and her great-niece Mary Nelson Ryan. Relatives and friends may call from 4-6pm Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at St. Joseph's Church, 3159 Route 9N, Greenfield Center.
