Saratoga Springs, NY - Evelyn V. Schrade passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at Lexington Health and Rehab in FL. She was 94. Born in Danbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Ernie and Sue Gustafson. She met and married her husband of 54 years, Robert "Bob" Schrade. She and Bob were proprietors of the popular Gold Lion Tavern on Church Street in Saratoga Springs. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include their two children, Connie L. Schrade (Alex) and Robert Henry Schrade (Megan); her children from a previous marriage, Roy Schroeder of Danbury, CT, and Joan Hayes of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren Shane, Brittney Danielle, Scott, Jacqueline and A.J; and two brothers, Ernie and Ralph Gustafson, both of Danbury. A private graveside service will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are asked to join the family at 12noon Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Saratoga-Wilton BPO Elks Club for a luncheon reception.
