Saratoga Springs, NY – On Friday, January 21, 2022, Evonne Marie Steele passed away at the age of 54 at Saratoga Hospital. Evonne is survived by her parents Virgil M. Steele, Normalee Ross Steele (deceased) and Cindy Covell Bush; two brothers S.G. Johnson and Steven Steele; and nephews and nieces.

Evonne was born on May 26, 1967 in Glens Falls, New York. She graduated from Corinth High School in 1985 where she excelled in several sports including volleyball and basketball. She joined the Air Force in May of 1987 where she trained as an aeromedical specialist until she was honorably discharged in 1990.

Throughout Evonne's life, she had compassion for people around her. She worked at places like Saratoga Bridges helping those with special needs. She also worked at Saratoga Hospital and the Rubin Dialysis Center as a Dialysis Technician. She has always had love for animals, where she rescued several of her pets including Reign and Budge.

Funeral services and burial with military honors at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY will be determined at a later date.
