En cariñosa memoria de Fernando Figueredo-Quiróz

Fernando Figueredo-Quiróz, amado padre, abuelo, hermano, tío y amigo, falleció a la edad de 92 años el 3 de agosto de 2023 en St. Peter's Hospital de Albany, Nueva York. Nacido en Cúcuta, Colombia, Fernando era un aventurero y apasionado del fútbol, corridas de toros y el béisbol. Otras cosas que le traían alegría eran la música de todo tipo, la ciudad de Nueva York y sus conversaciones con su hermano, Alfonso Figueredo.

A Fernando le sobreviven sus dos hijos: Martín y Diana Figueredo. También fue un adorado abuelo de sus dos nietos: Xavier Souffront y Zina Hmaidi. Fernando agradeció el cariñoso cuidado y compañía de su pareja, Astrid Quintero. Fernando también disfrutó de sus conexiones con familiares y amigos en Colombia, Venezuela y en todo Estados Unidos.

Recordaremos a Fernando por su brillantez, creatividad, amor incondicional y espíritu aventurero. Su legado de sabiduría y exploración perdurará para todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Fernando tenía un corazón muy grande y siempre quería compartir sus alegrías, historias y chistes con todos.

Lo extrañaremos mucho, pero siempre estará vivo en nuestros corazones y recuerdos.

Invitamos a amigos y familiares a celebrar la vida de Fernando el 12 agosto de 2023, en William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518-584-5373). La hora de visita para familiares y amigos comenzará a las 11:00 am, seguida de un servicio conmemorativo a las 12:00 pm.

In Loving Memory of Fernando Figueredo-Quiróz

Fernando Figueredo-Quiróz, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 92 on August 3, 2023 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, New York. Born in Cúcuta, Colombia, Fernando was an adventurer and passionate about soccer, bullfighting, and baseball. Other things that brought him joy were music of all kinds, New York City, and his conversations with his brother, Alfonso Figueredo.

Fernando is survived by his two children: Martin and Diana Figueredo. He was also an adored grandfather to his two grandchildren: Xavier Souffront and Zina Hmaidi. Fernando was grateful for the loving care and companionship of his partner, Astrid Quintero. Fernando also enjoyed his connections with family and friends in Colombia, Venezuela, and throughout the United States.

We will remember Fernando for his brilliance, creativity, unconditional love, and adventurous spirit. His legacy of wisdom and exploration will live on for all those who were privileged to know him. Fernando had a very big heart and always wanted to share his joys, stories and jokes with everyone.

He will be greatly missed, but he will always be alive in our hearts and memories.

We invite friends and family to celebrate Fernando's life on August 12, 2023, at William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518-584-5373). A visiting hour for family and friends will begin at 11:00 am, with a funeral service to follow at 12 pm.
