Saratoga Springs - Frances C. Clough, 92, passed away peacefully Friday, November 13th, 2015. Born November 21, 1922, Frances was a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Stetkar and Alice Cichy Stetkar. After graduating from Saratoga Springs High School, Frances waitressed at the Gideon Putnam, Country Gentlemen, and Colonial Tavern. She was also involved with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in the 1950s and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Frances married her late husband, Charles L. Clough, Sr., on October 17, 1948 and enjoyed their love for 60 years. She was the matriarch of Stetkar Orchards up until the fall of 2010 at the age of 87. She enjoyed everything about running the farm, from maintaining the gardens and apple trees to caring for the menagerie of animals. Working on the farm kept her young at heart. She loved her customers and always enjoyed their company. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, Charles L. Clough Jr.; one sister, Alice Pazin and one nephew, John Pazin Survivors include one son, Joseph Clough (Colleen); daughter-in-law, Wanda Perkins (Jeff); three grandchildren, Justin Perkins Clough (Erica), Aaron Clough Perkins and Katelyn Clough Perkins; and one great granddaughter, Abigail.
