Greenfield Center, NY - Frances E. Potter passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 in Ballston Spa. She was 87. Born on September 24, 1927 in Greenfield, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Evelyn (Rhodes) Potter. Frances graduated in 1944 from Saratoga High School and went on to graduate from Cobleskill College. She was employed by the VanRaalte Company, Annette's Apparel and Prestige Services (Senior Meals on Wheels). Fran was a member of the Greenfield Grange #807, a 70 year member of the New York State Grange as well as a past deputy and charter member of Greenfield Seniors. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers R. Chester Potter and John E. Potter and her sister Laura R. Roeckle. Survivors include her sisters Dorothy (Henry) Rowland, Jane Potter and brother George Potter all of Greenfield Center; 20 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A funeral home service will take place at 11am, Tuesday, May 5, 2015 and burial will follow in the family plot at Greenfield Cemetery.
