Saratoga Springs, NY - Francine Simone Polacsek, 66, was a loving, generous, creative, courageous woman, whose life ended on 9-10-11. She touched the lives of many whose paths she crossed with her welcoming personality. Francine was a friend and compass rose for all that knew her. Francine, a life-long resident of Saratoga Springs began her life's journey July 15, 1945, the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Elizabeth Gunther Simone. Francine's love for life and the people in it was also found during her long career as Customer Service Representative for NBT bank where she was known for her unprecedented service to clients. Francine's passion and intuitive gift for creating art will continue to be admired through the artwork she left behind and the art skills she endowed to her daughters and step-daughters. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one brother, Michael G. Simone. Survivors include her beloved husband Jack of Saratoga Springs; her children, Jamie Provo of Northville, Laura Marshall and her husband George of Altamont, Colleen E. Provo of Saratoga Springs and Boston, MA; her step- children, Lauren Heath and husband Ray of IN, Randy Polacsek and wife Becky of IN, Alyssa Polacsek of Saratoga Springs; her brothers and sisters, Rosemary Simone of CA, Anne and her husband Sam McConnell of Delta, PA, Patrick Simone and his wife Sharon of CA, Thomas E. Simone of Saratoga Springs, Christopher Simone and his wife Terri of Averill Park; her lifelong friend Angelina DiMeglio of Saratoga Springs; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her in-laws, Alan and Carole Polacsek of Wilton and Marcia and Irv Metzger of Lake George and CA; many nieces, nephews and countless friends whose lives will be forever changed through her absence. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia.
