Saratoga Springs, NY- Francis J. Pierson, 88, of Saratoga Springs, died peacefully on July 3, 2022 at the Saratoga Hospital.

Born in Binghamton, NY on December 30, 1933 he was the son of the late, Francis J. and Alice M. (Donnelly) Pierson and the husband of, Judy (Conklin) Pierson for fifty years.

Growing up on the West Side of Binghamton, Frank was an altar boy at St. Thomas Aquinas Church from elementary school to Binghamton Central High School, from which he graduated in 1951.  There, he was the lead male actor in several classic plays produced by the renowned, Helen Foley.  He received his Master's degree from Catholic University.  He also attended seminary school and was a Priest in the Syracuse Diocese.

He was a business consultant with the firm of Stonebridge Partners for a number of years.  Before that, he was employed by Key Bank in Albany, NY.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Mary Pierson of Binghamton to whom he was very close; as well as brother, Joseph Pierson, of Ballston Spa with whom he regularly played golf.  He is also survived by his three children, Michael (Courtney), Jennifer (Patrick) and Kate (Steve); his four grandchildren, Derek (Kristen), Jacob, Makenzie and Brandon; as well as one great granddaughter, Elara.

Frank was an avid golfer, Red Sox fan and Notre Dame Athletics fan.  He was close friends for many years with Ray Doring, Sue Price and Rocky Rosato.  He was a loving and exceptional father with a fantastic sense of humor.  He was charming and always had time for his children.  He was adored by his grandchildren for whom he always had time to play.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday July 9, 2022 at the Historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
