Fort Johnson, NY - Francis William Young (known by all as Bill) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on March 31 ^st , 2022.

Bill was born on March 27 ^th , 1950 to the late Theodore R. Young and Betty Jane (Hogan) Young. He attended Fonda-Fultonville High School. He then joined the UA Local 669 Sprinkler Fitters where he carried out his career for 48 years.

Bill was a humble man who loved deeply. He was caring, kind, liked to make people laugh and had a heart of gold. Throughout his life he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, cars, playing cards and the great outdoors.

He is survived by his spouse, Diana (Van Schaick) Young who was his high school sweetheart and he, the love of her life. They were married for 49 years. He is also survived by his sons and daughter, Travis (Gina) Young of Hagaman, NY, Todd (Ruthie) Young of Gloversville, NY, Tim (Heather) Young of Fonda, NY and Brianne (Brandon) Dingeman of Stillwater, NY; his eight grandchildren, Cooper, Taina, Luis, Ariana, Caroline, Molly, Charley and Jack; great-grandchild Jeremia Fernandez; and brothers Ralph (Roberta) Young of Albany, NY and Rodney Young and Kim Vass of  Little Falls, NY. Along with his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Patricia Williamson (Young).

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 10 ^th at Rolling Hills Country Club, 2258 NY-5, Fort Johnson, NY 12070 from 1-4PM.
