Saratoga Springs, NY - Frank J. Leonardo died peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 30 2008 after a long illness, at the age of 77. Born on Sept. 14, 1931 in College Point, NY, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Millie Leonardo. He served in the US Air Force. Frank was employed by the EDO Air Craft Corp. in College Point, retiring after 44 years. Frank cherished his family. He was an avid NY sports fan, a horse racing enthusiast and a Brooklyn Dodger fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret (Peggy) Boyd Leonardo; three daughters, Nanette Hanley and her husband Chris, Margaret Hayward and her husband Mike and Camille Swanson and her husband Doug; two sons, Wayne Leonardo and his wife Terry and Frank Leonardo and his wife Michele; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and Zoe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am Monday (November 3, 2008) at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway by the Rev. Dominic S. Ingemie, pastor. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the family plot at Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington, Vt. Memorials in his memory may be made to the Rubin Dialysis Center, 59C Myrtle St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
