IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Brimhall
Sr.
February 27, 1945 – November 4, 2022
Saratoga Springs, NY- Frank Brimhall Sr. passed away on Friday November 4, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Albany, NY on February 27, 1945 to the late Horace and Agnes Brimhall. Frank was a graduate of Albany High School and after graduation was employed at Freihofer's Bakery before he accepted a position in the Construction and Laborers Local 190. Early in his career, Frank had an integral part in the construction of the South Mall, which would later be recognized as the Empire State Plaza. In addition, Frank worked many years at the General Electric facility in Waterford as a foreman upon his retirement in 2001.
After retirement, Frank was a dedicated member of the Italian American War-Veterans (ITAM) fraternal organization. Frank spent many hours utilizing his construction background to make improvements to the facility and was extremely honored to be associated with this organization and worked various jobs for friends and family. Frank was always willing to lend a helping hand, when needed. Furthermore, Frank was also a proud member of the American Legion and Eagles Club of Saratoga Springs, respectfully.
One of Frank's greatest passions was his love for thoroughbred horse racing. You could often find Frank and his friends watching the races from the backstretch during the summer months. Frank was an avid fan of the sport and enjoyed numerous memorable moments at the Saratoga Race Course and the old simulcast facility at the Saratoga Raceway. Over the years, Frank also enjoyed trips with friends to Daytona Beach and Lake George's Motorcade; riding their Harleys and participating in rallies and week-long bike events.
Frank is survived by his four children, Frank Brimhal Jr., Mary (John) Lyng, Joseph (Jodi) Brimhall and Terri (Anthony) Onofrio, his six grandchildren; Erica, Joshua, Nicolas, AJ, Emma and Sophia. In addition, Frank is survived by his sister Carol (Vern) Cure, brother Michael Brimhall and was predeceased by his sisters Pat (Jack) Clark and Kay Brimhall.
Frank is also survived by his loving partner of many years, Michele Brackett and her daughter, Lisa Sarro and family. Michele and Frank enjoyed many years together, traveling to Belmont to watch the horses run, dinners out with friends and enjoying each other's company. He was greatly loved and will be missed.
The title of the classic horse racing movie "Let It Ride," (one of Frank's favorites) became his tagline, and so on this occasion we say to family and friends, and in honor of Frank, "Let it Ride."
A celebration in honor of Frank's life will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Italian Americans Club located at 247 Grand Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
