Frederick Joseph McNeary Jr., 60, of Saratoga Springs, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Fred was born on June 18, 1964 in Saratoga Springs, NY and was the youngest of three children to Frederick and Virginia McNeary. He grew up in Saratoga Springs where he developed a deep connection to his community and a strong work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.

Fred attended Saratoga Springs schools. After furthering his education in South Florida, he returned to Saratoga Springs in 1991 where he began building a successful career. He initially started a construction business where he built several custom homes. Fred had a visionary mind and an insatiable curiosity, always eager to learn new skills and master new challenges. He loved to take on projects and found great satisfaction in figuring out how to do things on his own, from carpentry to innovative design.

In December of 1998, Fred and his father founded Prestwick Chase, a premier retirement community, and became its CEO. This year marks the 27th anniversary of Prestwick Chase, a testament to Fred's tireless commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for seniors. His vision and leadership not only ensured the success of the business but also strengthened his legacy as a dedicated and hardworking businessman.

Fred had a wide array of interests including outdoor activities and spending quality time with his loved ones. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed starting new projects, from construction to aviation, always seeking to learn and grow.

Fred is survived by his parents, Frederick and Virginia McNeary; his two daughters, Cadigan McNeary and Bryndelyn McNeary; his two sisters, Dinda Dahlstrom (Ric) and Karen Zenner (George), several nephews & their families; and his partner, Kellie Postlethwaite.

Fred's legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family and his life's work.

As we honor Fred's memory, may we find comfort in the cherished moments shared and the profound impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
