Ballston Spa, NY - Gail M. Barnes, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family, friends, and pets. She was 59. Born on February 18, 1952 in Saratoga Spring, she was the daughter of Patricia King Cornell of Ballston Spa and the late Clarence "Sonny" Cornell. Gail traveled with her husband Tim to area landscaping sites for Barnes Landscaping. They loved spending time together, especially eating at many area restaurants. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was predeceased by her father and one sister, Sheila Cornell-Harblin. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband of 43 years, Timothy Barnes and their four children; Timothy Jr. of Ballston Spa, Todd and Heather of Cuba, Missouri , Toby and Christina of Ballston Spa, Terry and Amy of Rock City Falls; one brother Clarence "Billy" Cornell and his wife Sue, one sister Robin Delaney, all of Ballston Spa; nine grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway(584-5373). A funeral service will be held at 10:30am Thursday at the Christ Episcopal Church, Rt. 50 & 67, Ballston Spa where a Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated by the Rev. Derik J. Roy, Jr., rector.
