Saratoga Springs, NY - Gail E. Buckley passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 after battling cancer. Born on August 15, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Smyth) Porter. Gail was a long time resident of Smithtown and Southold, Long Island and worked for 16 years in the electronics industry as a purchasing agent. She moved to Saratoga Springs, NY in 1995 and most recently worked at Bon-Ton in Wilton. Gail was a member of the Ladies of Charity and the Orenda Garden Club, both of Saratoga Springs. She liked to travel and play golf. In addition to her parents, Gail is predeceased by her step-father Robert White and her daughter Donna Buckley. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Hildreth and her husband Mark of San Ramon, CA and her son James Buckley of Schuylerville, NY; her grandchildren, Chris and Eric Hildreth of San Ramon, CA and Robert Buckley (fianc Julie Capone) of Schuylerville, NY and her closest friend, Patricia Flanagan of Saratoga Springs. A memorial service will be held 5pm Friday, May 1, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). The Rev. Derek Roy, pastor, Christ Episcopal Church, Ballston Spa will officiate. Burial will be 1:30pm Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
